Riverfront Stadium Pics
(Cinergy Field) March 11, 2001
Here I am on my little jaunt down at the Ohio River. We have so much new construction going on here in Cincinnati. I'll be so happy to see it all done if I live long enough! It's neat to watch the progress of all new buidings and stadia going up. Paul Brown Stadium is new here also and it's just down the street a couple of blocks. Riverfront stadium was built in 1970 and will be gone in 2003. The new stadium will be called Great American Ballpark.
December 29, 2002 - Update: Riverfront/Cinergy is no more. It was imploded at 8a.
Here are arial shots after. Riverfront After Photos
This is what is known as "The Bite".
14,000 seats were removed to make way for the new stadium.

The Bite a bit closer.
Future home for the "Great American Ballpark".
Construction hell and the Roebling Suspension Bridge.
The other side of "The Bite".
Hard to believe this will one day be another stadium.
The Bite and First Star Center (Riverfront Coliseum).
The new stadium is going up right in between there; it's aka "The Wedge".
It doesn't look like enough room to me...
I guess part of the new one will be sticking into the outfield of the old one.
The Bite on a lovely sunny Sunday.
Here I am in the middle of the Central Bridge now known as The Taylor Southgate Bridge.
This is looking south toward Newport, KY.
Hey Gerald, does this look familiar !!
