Spiced Rice
2 cups basmati rice
1 cinnamon stick
5 cloves
5 cardamom pods
salt
pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cups vegetable stock
Crack the cardamom pods with the flat edge of a knife. Mix them with the rest of the ingredients in a microwavable container. Cook in the microwave for 13 minutes, stopping to mix every 3 minutes. Remove the cloves, cinnamon stick and cardamom. Serve warm.
