Shrimp Pakora
6 to 12 medium sized shrimp, shelled and butterflied
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 cup finely chopped coconut shavings
salt to taste
oil to fry
Wash shrimp and set aside. Mix all ingredients but coconut and add
water to make a batter. Dip the shrimp in the batter and roll in
coconut powder. Fry until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.
