Cream Cheese and Onion Mashed Potatoes
2 cups milk
2 cups water
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, cubed
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups instant potato flakes
4 green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
real bacon pieces, optional
1/2 cup sour, optional
Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan over medium high heat, stirring often. Remove from heat; stir in potato flakes, green onion, butter, bacon pieces and sour cream. Serves 4.
