Seven Layer Jello Salad
4 3 ounce packages Jello, green, orange, yellow, red
1 pint sour cream
2 envelopes Knox gelatin
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
Grease 13 x 9 dish with oil and chill. Dissolve 1 package of green Jello in 1 cup hot water, add 1/2 cup cold water, pour into refrigerated dish and refrigerate to set. Bring to boil 2 cups milk and 1 cup sugar, dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water, add milk and sugar. Add sour cream, 2 teaspoon vanilla to above. Beat with electric mixer until blended. When fairly cool, add 1 1/2 cups to top of set green layer. Refrigerate. When sticky to touch, add next layer, use orange, white, adjoin yellow, white then red, letting each layer set before adding a layer. Time can be shortened by making all Jello at once and setting aside to cool.
