Tex Mex Burgers
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 4 ounce can green chilies, drained and chopped
3 ounces jack cheese, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
6 hamburger buns
6 tablespoons sour cream
6 tablespoons salsa
6 lettuce leaves, optional
Heat grill or skillet. Shape ground beef into 12 3 1/2 inch patties. Place 6 patties on waxed paper. Top each one with 1/6 of the chilies and cheese. Place remaining patties over stuffing. Press edges to seal. Grill or fry until burgers are done. Serve on buns with sour cream, salsa and lettuce. Serves 6.
