Teriyaki Burgers

1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 cup chopped water chestnuts
1 egg white
2 tablespoons bread crumbs

Marinade:
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
3 packets sugar substitute
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger root
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce, low sodium
4 crusty hamburger buns
slice pineapple, in its own juice

In a medium sized bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped water chestnuts, egg white and bread crumbs. Shape into 4 patties. Place patties in a glass baking dish. In a small bowl, combine marinade ingredients. Pour over the hamburger patties. Cover and refrigerate for one hour or more. Barbecue 7 minutes, turn, brush with marinade and barbecue for 7 to 8 minutes or until done. Top each with 1 pineapple slice, if desired, and serve on buns.
