Pork Chops and Potatoes
6 pork chops, 3/4 inch thick
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon cooking oil
3 tablespoons margarine
4 cups seasoned croutons
3/4 cup water, divided
3 medium potatoes, quartered
1 can mushroom soup
Brown pork chops in a Dutch oven in oil; add salt and pepper. Melt margarine, then mix croutons with margarine and add 1/4 cup water. Shape crouton mixture into small balls and place them on top of the pork chops. Place potato quarters around chops, pour soup on top of the entire dish, add 1/2 cups water and cook 6 to 8 hours on low in the crockpot.
