Pasta Sauce
1/2 pound lean ground turkey
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 stalk celery
2 medium carrots peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic crushed
1 medium onion chopped
1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes with juice
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Combine ground turkey, beef, celery, carrots, garlic and onion in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper nd thyme. Cover and cook on low 7 to 8 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender. Makes about 6 servings.
