Chili Turkey
l pound turkey tenders or cutlets
2 tablespoons chili or taco seasoning
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 cup salsa, any heat
1/2 cup peach, apricot or plum preserves
Cut meat into cubes or strips. Dust with seasoning and quickly brown together with garlic on top of stove. Put meat into slow cooker/crockpot. Deglaze skillet with salsa and jam then pour over chicken. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. This will probably also work without the prior browning, but that extra step usually adds flavor.
