Baked Beans II
1 pound Great Northern beans, rinsed
4 1/2 cups water
1/3 cups molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 to 1/3 pound salt pork, sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 onion, whole
Combine all ingredients in crockpot except for the onion, bury that in the middle. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. Stir occasionally if possible. If doing overnight, check in the morning and add a little more hot or boiling water if necessary. Do not double for 4 quart cooker, but ok to double for a 5 quart.
