Looking out the window.
Another view looking out the window. Navy Pier is in the background.
Breakfast at Marquette Inn. It's a little Greek place. We noticed at least 3 of them while walking around town. It was great food and cheap. $14 for both. I had a wonderful broccoli cheese omelet. Jimmy had a Mexican omelet. The potatoes were excellent. Sort of a mix between slices and mashed and fried on the griddle. That's hot sauce, not ketchup btw. The toast they call "Greek Toast" was good. Nice and thick. The coffee was good too.
The infamous El. I enjoyed this immensely. It's up a couple levels from street level and the views are ever changing. In some places there were buildings so close, it looked like we were going to hit them. The stations where you wait for them are so old-timey, like in the 40's gangster movies. We rode the brownline across town.
This was overlooking the bay of Lake Michigan. I was chillin' with a raspberry iced tea. It was a rather gloomy day for August and was on the cool side, but it was great for all the walking around we did.
This just reminds me of Gilligan's Island.
Lake Michigan is huge. It's beautiful. People were out and about on every kind of watercraft known to man. We just hung out up on these big rocks and relaxed. If I had a pillow, I would have taken a nap.
Too bad it was such an overcast day. The water was beautiful. It was very relaxing just sitting there watching all the goings on. People were sailing, sea-dooing, roller blading, bicycling, etc.
Looking out the room window, the Navy Pier is in the background. Next trip, we'll go there for sure.
There is just too much to do in 2 days. This city is great. It's huge. We went to Nordstroms, Bloomingdale's and so many other places. Window shopping at it's finest. I didn't even get a lousy t-shirt !
